Have a *Turtle-ee* Day! ft. TLC Designs

Hello, and thank you so much for dropping by! I have a new slimline card today to share featuring a new release stamp set from TLC Designs!

You may not know, but I am somewhat new to the Copic coloring scene…I was late to that game by a long shot! I have been making up for lost time though and having SO MUCH FUN! When I saw this cute little turtle from the Turtle-iscious 4×8 stamp set I *knew* I needed to make a card just for him!

I started by stamping my turtle 4 times across a 4″x8.5″ piece of Copic friendly cardstock in black ink. I like to start with my panels a little big so I can trim down with a die, which I always save for last! I used a slimline rectangle die to die cut the card panel out. My finished slimline card is 3.5×8.5″

I colored the bodies on the turtles all the same, with the exception of the flowers! I chose to do a sort of rainbow gradient color palette to color the flowers and love how it added to the scene! Final touches were grounding the turtles with some gray shadows so they weren’t floating on the panel and adding the sentiment! I cut the sentiment in to chunks and matted them on black cardstock.

I love practicing my coloring—and learn SO much from watching others… Do you have any favorite colorists you like to watch or follow on social media?? Let me know in the comments below!

That finishes up my post for today! I will be back next Monday with another fun TLC designs project. Be sure to follow me on Instagram and Facebook too, and subscribe to me on YouTube to keep up with all my caffeinated adventures! Also, if you have yet to check out the TLC Designs shop—consider this a public service announcement…YOU NEED TO! They also have a fabulous Facebook group that has inspiration from other crafty peeps and the rest of the amazing design team. Head over and say hello!

‘Till next time! ~Shanna
