National Bubble Tea Day!

Hello and Welcome!! I am so glad you stopped by today. I am joining some other caffeinated crafty friends today and together we are celebration National Bubble Tea Day!!!! Trinity Stamps and Coffee Loving Cardmakers are teaming up and have loads of fun projects set to inspire you!

I created 2 cards for today, and both feature the Summertime Sips die set from Trinity Stamps.

Both of my cards are watercolored….I absolutely love the gradients and texture I can achieve with watercoloring, and couldn’t help but use it for my drinks!

The card on the left is the one we will start with. I decided in my crafty world there should be RAINBOW Bubble tea! So I watercolored a rainbow blend and then sprinked salt on it while it was still wet. This technique gives you some fun starburst-like texture if you allow the salt to stay on the paint while it dries….so neat! I die cut the cup base and then added it to an interactive slimline base using the Slimline Surprises die set. My sentiment was created with the Graham Cracker alpha dies. My bubbles are actually Rainbow Fish Baubles.

The card on the right has a beginning! I was inspired by an actual recipe you can find HERE. The color combo was a lot of fun and so bright and cheery!! I used the the same watercolor palette and picked some reds and greens and then white in the middle to create the card. This card happens to be a shaped card, so I die cut a second Summertime Sips cup base and scored it about a half inch from the top and clued it to the top panel to create a shaped card. The bubbles on this card are from the Midnight Ball Baubles embellishment mix.
