Love is in the Windy Air ft. TLC Designs

Hello, and thank you so much for dropping by! I am sharing a super cute interactive Valentine’s Day card featuring products from TLC Designs. I hope you enjoy!

I have been absolutely enamored with the adorable digi images in the Snow Family Fun Mail digi stamp set from TLC Designs. I have made a few different cards with the cutie-patootie snow friends if you have been following along. I was thinking about them again recently, and decided just because my more “traditional winter” cards are close to over…Snow still happens in February!! So this design was born.

I chose to do something completely new for me, and that was to paper piece elements of the digi-stamps. I opened different digi-paper files from my all time favorite Watercolor Naturals paper, along with a few from You are my Sunshine and Krafty & Sweet digi papers. I shrunk them all down in a word document so I could print all my images on one page. I then layered the elements I wanted over each specific pattern using the .PNG files. Super easy and done from the comfort of my recliner with my laptop too! I printed them all out on heavyweight cardstock (I prefer this one for nearly everything I do) and then fussy cut them all out leaving a narrow white border.

For my card base, I decided I wanted to play with the Double Dial die set. This die set is an interactive die set that is intended to move 2 elements simultaneously utilizing a dial on the side edge of the card. I wanted to have the snowman’s hat “fly away” from him, so I only used the arching element, and left my snowman stationary. I love stretching my dies this way and getting more uses and techniques from a single set! I die cut the base from the Daisy Frame dies, which allowed a perfect curved in edge for my dial when mounted onto a A2 card base. #winning! Some light steniling of some birch trees and scattered hearts set the scene perfect for the Valentines postal delivery and snowman.

I easily assembled all the interactive elements by following the instructions that come with the die set. Let me know in the comments if this is something you would like a closer look at, or a video on! I will DEFINITELY be using this die again soon! **BONUS** TLC Designs has a brand new stamp set that is PERFECT for interactive cards of all sorts. See those arrows on my dial?? They help direct the person recieving the card to rotate the dial to move the hat. Such a great addition that is cute as well! You can find the Action Stamp set in the shop too! At the last minute I added the “luvs you” sentiment in black ink on to my card from the Hopping Friends sentiment stamp set. It was the perfect final touch!

That finishes up my card for today! I will be back next Monday with another fun TLC designs project. Be sure to follow me on Instagram and Facebook too, and subscribe to me on YouTube to keep up with all my caffeinated adventures! Also, if you have yet to check out the TLC Designs shop—consider this a public service announcement…YOU NEED TO! They also have a fabulous Facebook group that has inspiration from other crafty peeps and the rest of the amazing design team. Head over and say hello!

‘Till next time! ~Shanna
