Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps Week 4 New Release Celebration

Welcome everyone!! The party continues today for Crackerbox and Suzy Stamps as they roll out even MORE new releases!! I hope you are hopping along, the design team has some amazing projects to show you! If you are hopping in order, you should have arrived here from Ericka Strange and next up will be Melinda Beltran! There is a also a complete list of blogs down below for you to reference as well.

I have TWO cards to share today featuring the new and wonderful sentiment stamp called Golden Thread. I wanted to create 2 very different cards, one with a masculine vibe, and one more feminine. This sentiment totally rocks both!

For my masculine card, I ink blended a Bristol Smooth A2 card panel with Paint it Black fusion ink from Inkon3. I kept it dark on the bottom, then blended up to white for an ombre look. I then took some Mettalix gold gel from ThermoWeb and lightly spread it over a dots stencil from my stash. I kept the stencil heavier towards the bottom as well. Then I splattered more black ink and some white paint over the entire panel. The overall effect is distressted/grunge and perfect for any guy out there! I took the sentiment and heat embossed it in gold, and then hand stitched some diagonal stitches with some gold thread I divided off some twine that was in my stash. Mounted it all to a card base and the card was done!

The more feminine card started with another Bristol smooth A2 panel. I wanted to use the twine that I had previously separated the gold threads from for my masculine card for my color inspiration, so I pulled my gold and turquoise glitter gels out to play with. I paired them with a new diagonal lines stencil in my stash, and blended them some for a contiguous look. While that was drying, I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment again in gold onto white cardstock, and then die cut a small scalloped frame to go around it. I trimmed my background down to 4;5.25″ and mounted it to a teal card base. My sentiment was matted with metallic gold paper, and some of the twine was wrapped around it before mounting it to the center of the panel with foam tape. I added foam tape to the frame as well and added it to the card for a finishing touch.

Which card do you like better?? This week’s release is on sale as well, with a BONUS addition!!
