Spread Joy not Germs!!

Hello and welcome everyone!! My name is Shanna for those of you that haven’t been here before, and I am excited to help #spreadjoynotgerms today with all of you!! The crafting community never ceases to amaze me and this blog hop is no exception…IT IS HUGE!!! All the sponsors have come together to create this large-scale hop with tons of prizes! How fun is that!?!

I find so much inspiration in other designers. They help me grow and learn everyday without even knowing it personally. I hope today inspires you as well!

I created my card today using stamps from sponsor Trinity Stamp Company’s new release from last week…..Guys it is all SO CUTE! I brought together a bunch of different stamp and die sets from the release to play together to create a slimline card scene. I used Let the Good times Roll (Unicorn and sentiment), Rare Friend (dragon), Unbelievable (Big Foot/Yeti), and Hugs & Squishes (Swamp Monster). The standalone dies I used were Wonky Wilderness Slimline dies (trees), Slimline Stitched Card Panels & Windows (card base), Slimline Scalloped Card panels and Banners (banner) and lastly the Slimline Scenic Borders die set (grass). Phew!! I love mixing and matching, and this card definitely does that!

My card panel was ink blended using my blending buddy brushes Distress Oxides in Salty Ocean with a smidge of Blueprint sketch for some depth. The grass was my favorite green combo of Mowed lawn and Twisted Citron. I heavily spritzed the sky background with water and blotted off, and then came back and splattered white paint across it as well.

All the characters were colored using my Tombow markers, a go to coloring medium for me!! I popped up the characters and the grass panel using some of my absolutely FAVORITE foam tape and then mounted my card panel to a card base measuring 3.5×8.5″.

Well, that wraps up today’s post. Next up in the hop lineup is the absolutely awe-inspiring Amy Young!! Check out the graphic below for a peek at all 31 sponsors!! 1. Honestly your blending is so so smooth that it looks like pictures instead of stamping! My niece and nephew would laugh if they saw this! It’s great!!!
