An all Occasions Floral Card

Hi crafty Friends! Today is my final guest design fort The Krafty Chicks Challenge blog this month! It is always so fun to design with the uber-talented girls over there! Thanks so much for having me!!!

I am playing along with Challenge 496 today with a card featuring Love You Bunches, by Trinity Stamp Company.

Challenge 496 is focusing on all occasion cards. Those cards that you can just pull out and write a special note to someone just because you want! Everyone needs a handmade card every once in a while 🙂

I started this card by stamping my image on Bristol smooth cardstock, and then watercolored it with my Zig Clean Real Brush pens. LOVE these markers!!!! ****BONUS, if you follow me on IG, check out my speed coloring video of this image on my IGTV channel!!!*** I used the coordinating die to cut out my colored image and then set it aside to work on my background. I wanted a subtle background so I could let the florals shine as the focal point. I picked up my Love and Stuff sentiment set and used ALL of the sentiments in random order across the entire card panel. I stamped them in Versafine ink in sections, and heat embossed them in white detail embossing powder. I love a tone on tone look, and white on white always makes me happy….but I wanted a little bit of depth behind the flowers, so I took my blending buddy brush and lightly applied Pumice Stone Distress Ink in a circular motion just enough to make the words pop a bit. I love my Blending Buddy brushes!! The tapered end allows just the right amount of control to where I want to lay down color on my card. I adhered the florals to the card with some foam tape. Lastly I heat embossed my sentiment (from the Love You Bunches set) in white embossing powder onto black cardstock. I actually stapled it to the card panel, and then glued the opposite end, with a little wave to the banner so it wasn’t completely flat against the card. I like doing this for easy dimension sometimes when I am not going to be mailing the card.

That wraps up my post for today….If you are new to visiting me, be sure to click *Follow* to keep up with all my caffeinated adventures!!  Until then you can find me here on my blog, over on Facebook on Caffeinated Craftiness, or over on Instagram! See you all again soon!!!
