Come Fly away with Me!

Hello and welcome to day 2 of The Rabbit Hole Design‘s New Release for October!!  The design team is excited to be sharing 3 different stamp sets with you today!! The Caffeinated Butterfly, Caffeinated Turkey, and the Caffeinated Boxer!! Both are equally adorable and under-caffinienated!  You probably arrived here from The Rabbit Hole Design’s blog, and next up will be the ever so talented Niccole Kulig.

My infatuation, near obsession with the Caffeinated Critter line from The Rabbit Hole Designs is hardcore!  I love them ALL!!
Today I am playing with the Caffeinated Butterfly and chose to make a split card design to show off the cute little bug!

I started off by die cutting a variety of cloud panels to stack and then inked them all lightly with Tumbled Glass distress ink for some shading.  I stamped my butterfly with Versa Clair Nocturne ink and watercolored it with my Zig real brush pens.  I tried to stay true to a Monarch butterfly with my colors, and really like the combo!  I assembled the cloud layers and spaced them so my butterfly could attach them together in the middle.  I cut out a 2nd butterfly shape to adhere to the backside for of my colored image for added strength and support.  Lastly, I stamped my sentiments, choosing to stamp a sentiment from the Perfectly Blended sentiment stamp set on the inside of my card, but visible through the split design.  #flutter was stamped in the Tumbled Glass distress ink to blend in with the clouds.
