Trinity Stamps Autumn Release Blog Hop!

Hello and welcome everyone! The day has finally arrived and the new Autumn release is LIVE in the Trinity Stamps shop. I love everything in this release, and I hope you all will too! There is loads of inspiration to be found in the blog hop lineup today! You should have arrived here from the fabulous Jenn Bena.

One reader will be randomly selected to receive a $25 Trinity Gift Card. Leave a comment on all the blog hop stops for a chance to win! Winners will be announced on Friday, September 20th.

For my first card today, I have an (almost) single layer card featuring the new and adorable stamp set, Mouse House. The set has a bunch of whimsical images and also has matching dies!I love these little mice, and their tree stump home just is magically fulfilling for me!

I started off my card with a A2 card base from Bristol cardstock and stamped my scene using masking to layer my images. I watercolored the images with my Tombow markers and then after it was all dry I masked off all the images so I could ink blend my background. For the background I drew inspiration from a rising sun, so my colors are oranges to purples, of which an epically failed to write down while making the card! (Major face palm moment). My sun rays were made using Trinity Stamp’s Catching Some Rays stencil set and lightly blending Dried Marigold distress oxide ink with my Blending Buddy brush. The opaque nature of oxide ink allowed the more pastel color to lay on top of my sky background for a nice effect!

My grass was next, and I used a couple different greens and the grassy part of the Scenes from the Sea stencil set to make the grass texture! I hadn’t tried this before, but you can bet I will be repeating it! The sentiment is from the Fall Sentiments set. Final touches were an apple and a few mushrooms to complete the scene!

My next card was another adventure in masking and I absolutely love the end result. I used the sleepy hollow stamp set and created a nighttime single layer design. This time I stamped my images, using masking for the layers, and then left them all masked to do my background, choosing to color after. I also used a circle die on a full adhesive post-it note to create a mask for my moon. I used my moon as my sky’s focal point and used tumbled glass, peacock feather, and chipped sapphire oxide inks in a circular pattern to create my night sky.

The grass was done as a simple masking tape line, and mowed lawn and crushed olive distress oxides. After my background was complete, I peeled off all the masking and began watercoloring the images in with a combination of Zig and Tombow markers. The 2 work well together, and instantly expand my color choices when combined! I stamped another sentiment from the Autumn sentiments set, because who doesn’t love naps? My final touch was some liquid pixie dust painted onto the moon for just a touch of shimmery magic!

Well, that’s a wrap for my post today. I hope you enjoyed! There is still fun to be had and even MORE prizes to be won right now in the pre-release Facebook party on the Trinity Stamps Inspiration and Conversation group. Be sure to swing by and play along, all games will close at midnight PST on Friday, September 20th, 2019.
