Growing in Unity: Day 2

Welcome, or welcome back!  Today is day 2 of my Growing in Unity week, and I couldn’t not color up one of my favorite AngieGirls! Red Girl reminds me of a wintery little red riding hood with her long cape and basket of yummy apples!

I stepped away from my norm of watercoloring and pulled out the colored pencils for her!  I am still learning, but I really like how she came out.

My background was created by masking Red off and ink blending Chipped Sapphire distress ink for the sky and a touch of Tumbled Glass for the snow.  I splattered watered down silver acrylic paint over the panel when I was done.  Final touches were a couple strips of some favorite washi tapes from my stash.  Yay for making Christmas cards early!!

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to leave a comment and visit me again tomorrow for day three!!  See you then!

  1. Love the background you created and the coloring looks great! Nice touch with the layered washi tapes…and gotta love a good ink splatter, right?
