Growing in Unity: Day 1

Hello friends!  Today I get to check another big thing off my ever growing bucket list….I am this week’s Growing in Unity girl for Unity Stamp Company!!  If you are stopping by today and are new to my blog, then welcome!  have a look around and be sure to click *follow* to keep up with me on my caffeinated adventures!

While reflecting on what I wanted to create for my week, I decided to just be myself and jump right in with some of my favorites.  So whereas there is no technical theme to this week, Unity is full of so many wonderful designs and they all deserve a spotlight!

I gifted myself for Christmas year before last with a KOM (Kit of the Month) Membership…..it is totally a gift that keeps on giving month after month!!  Most of my Unity stamps are KOM stamps at this time, but I love just flipping through them all and being inspired.

Today’s project is from the Pretty Darn Amazing KOM .  I loved this entire kit from the get go as I am a quilter as well as a paper crafter.  But as the name of my blog implies, I am always good for a coffee or tea related stamp.  This teapot with the flowers was just too darn cute not to color on up!

I stamped it on Canson cold press watercolor paper using Versa Clair Nocturne ink and then proceeded to watercolor using Tombow Dual brush pens.  I love watercoloring the most out of all the different ways to color.  It soothes my soul to spread the color out with a paintbrush.

After I had colored and allowed it all to dry, I went back with white Nuvo drops and added my polka dots to the tea pot.  I like the little bit of dimension is gave!

That wraps up my post for Day 1, be sure to leave a comment and swing back by the rest of this week….there is more fun headed this way!!  See you soon!
