Hello Friends!!  Welcome day 3, the final day, of The Rabbit Hole Designs New Release Inspiration Hop!!  I am soooo excited to be showing you all today’s feature!!  STENCILS!!  Specifically, I am showing you the Dots and Stars stencil THRD is releasing.  It is perfect for your sky scenes and so much more!

I started my card with a larger base than I usually use.  I generally stick to A2 card bases, but I really wanted to play with a larger night scene.  So I chose to make a 5×7 card.  I cut my panel from Bristol paper and ink blended my sky to mimic a sunset.  Orange Marmalade all the way up to Chipped Sapphire makes up my transitions (I forgot to picture what blues I used, sorry!)

I affixed my stencil over my card using a new to me product, Pixie Spray.  I am totally not sure how I have lived without this stuff!!  It seems to be sold out almost everywhere, but last I checked TRHD still had some in stock here (If not, check back soon)!  It is a light tack adhesive spray that is repositionable so your stencil stays where you want it, but the peels off effortlessly when you are done.  Absolute game changer ladies and gents!!!  I used Nuvo expanding mousse in Old Linen and Boatyard Blue to stencil in my Starry night.  I love all the different sizes of stars and dots this stencil has, so much interest in such a small way!

While my background was drying, I stamped my card images. I pulled out my Love you More stamp set.  I love this set, and the couple is just too cute for words!  I used Inkon3 Fadeout Ink knowing I wanted to do a little no line watercoloring with my floating couple.  I used my Zig markers to watercolor them, and then fussy cut them out.  As opposed to cutting the balloon string out (who in the world would do that???)  I decided black sewing thread would be great to use as the strings!  I taped the string to the backside of the heart balloons and then to the back of the dolls.  The images were adhered to the background panel using foam tape, which allowed the thread to “float” over the top of the panel.  I used VersaClair Midnight ink to stamp my sentiment directly onto my panel.  The clouds were fussy cut and popped up across the bottom and then the card was complete!

The Rabbit Hole Designs is releasing FOUR stencils and they are all amazing!  I sneaked in a peek of Candy Twist and Circles and Stars earlier this week *here* with Sassy!

Here is a quick peek at all 4 stencils together:

  1. So cute! (Although flying away while holding onto helium balloons is a recurring nightmare of mine. 😱 🤣)
