Shoreline Seashells and More

Welcome back to day 2 of the New Release party for The Rabbit Hole Designs!!!

If yesterday didn’t give you a big enough dose of amazingness, then do we have a treat for you today!!  Today we are showcasing not one but TWO fantastic sets!!

First up I have By the Shore

Here is a close-up of the adorable 3×4 set

I had a lot of fun creating with this sweet girl!  For my first project I watercolored a sunset (or sunrise?) background using my Tomboy markers on Bristol paper.  I used the wet-on-wet technique so the colors blended together nicely!  I fussy cut the girl and then added my sentiment directly to the card.  Just. Dreamy.

For my second card, I went the more traditional route and layered up some fun seashell paper and added a dry embossed stripe and twine for some added interest and dimension.  The stamp was once again watercolored, but this time using Zig markers.  (I might have a strong obsession with watercoloring!)

Next up is Mermaid Hair

I mean, who doesn’t LOVE a good mermaid stamp!  This one stands up to that challenge with her whimsy and adorable expression!  Of course the sentiment is perfectly matched as well!

Here is a close up of this Mer-Mazing 3×4 stamp set:

The mermaid could be easily used on SO MANY cards!  I loved creating the sea-scenes with her in my 2 cards. My first one is an ink blended wave frame from a cut file on my silhouette. I watercolored my mermaid in a a traditional (is there such a thing?) mermaid color but I imagined her with silver hair that catches the sun beautifully while floating around in the water… and then I added a couple of bubble embellishments and she was all set.

My last card for today is a rainbow themed mermaid!  I loved coloring this one, and the tail is my absolute favorite!!  I used glossy accents to add some shine and dimension to the bubbles on this card, and like how it added just the right amount of shine! The sentiment I cut apart and heat embossed on the navy paper and then popped up with pops dots.  I little metallic cording circled behind added some sparkle. She just looks so darn happy how can one not smile??
