PND Tia and her Donut

pnd donut (1 of 2)Hi Crafty Caffeinated friends!!  I am have a YUMMY treat of a card to share with you today!  I am over on the Paper Nest Dolls Blog as well showcasing one of their new and absolutely adorable Tootsie Doll stamps!!  I used Tia with Donut for this delicious creation!  I figured the perfect card base would be none other than a DONUT!

I chose to print my digi stamp out on watercolor paper so I could color with my Zig Real Brush pens. I like to print in grayscale so I can control bleeding a bit better since I have an inkjet printer, not a laser printer.  Just a tip for those of you in the same boat as me!

I found a donut card file for my Silhouette Cameo and cut it out of 110 lb. white cardstock.  I ink blended the edges of the card front to resemble a donut!  YUM!  The frosting layer was cut out of a chocolate brown (like it could really be anything else?!?) cardstock and then I applied Glossy Accents to the WHOLE PIECE!  I had never glossed an area that big, and whereas it was a bit tedious and subsequently warped the paper a bit, I LOVE the effect it gave me!  While it was still wet I added some clay sprinkle embellishments I had on hand from my favorite embellishment dealer (yes I’m an addict! LOL) Trinity Stamp Company.  I absolutely, positively LOVE how it all came together.  I mounted the frosting layer with a decent amount of adhesive to minimize the little bit of warping, and then popped my Tootsie doll on with some foam squares.  Cute enough to eat! **Almost**
